Abstract:
The aim of this volume is to develope a critical analysis on quantum mechanics and his conceptual heritage, particularly on Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle (1927). Nowadays, is quantum theory a sufficiently developed theory enough? It represents one of the most interesting open challenge to thought. Truly quantum mechanics is a sort of touchstone for epistemology, for the existence in current microphysics of many different theories and intepretations that are empirically equivalent but alternative. An analysis of quantum formalism and, in the same time, of his philosophical interpretations will be required to solve the subsequent questions: the existence of continuum, becoming, the unification of nature’s laws, dualism, entanglement. A theoretical reflection aware of the importance of the historical context in which a theory grows is needed, also open to the introduction of new mathematical entities, to solve differently quantum probability laws.
